| This image came to me as a post card from a friend with the inscri ption: "That's how I imagine the members of your convention :) And indeed, the way she meant it there's a lot of humor in a little bit of truth. When I looked more closely the image took on a whole different meaning for me. The photo was taken October 9, 1958. The headline of the paper they are pouring over reads, "The Pope is dead". I was 6 years old. I was in the first grade of a Catholic school, and the nuns in the picture were my teachers for the next 8 years of my life. After that, lived with the Jesuits for 4 years. Then my journal and pilates as an idea. |
This convention is for people who know or want to know others familiar with the idea. There will be discussion of the future of pilates. A chance to move. A chance to express yourself to the others, if you want.
Also, if there is enough interest there will be held
the Pilates Trials. This will be the second attempt at this kind of event to highlight the idea of pilates.
The timing of the convention comes from the timing of the summer solstice--knowing when to plan crops is a matter of listening, observing, perception of change. For deeper explaination there's an audio.
Doing pilates is the same, knowing how to exhale and wait for the inhale.
Summer Solstice: Friday night June 20th at 5:59 PM Mountain Time. How to teach others to be Pilates Survivors will be the theme of the convention.
